I would have never imagined a city could be so big. How do people find their way around without a map? Does anyone know what those horrid smelling pickles are that are being sold in the Business District? They really should be outlawed.

Ellone, I hope you're okay by yourself. I still feel bad leaving you behind. Are you alright?

Are you available to talk? I owe you an apology. I would have called, but I don't have the number.

They are Gysahl Pickles, a local delicacy.

As terrible as they seem, I developed quite a liking for the pickles during my pregnancy. No longer, however.

Gysahl Pickles, they taste a lot better than they smell.

I actually kind of like those pickles...

Oh, Gyshal Pickles. They are horrid. Once was enough for me.

Horrid smelling pickles? OH! You must been the gysahl pickles! Those things aren't so bad once you get over the smell.

Although, I can only take a few bites of it at a time before I start gagging.

I'm all right, really. [Way too used to it to be bothered, Raine.] It's peaceful here.

Isn't Lindblum fascinating?

Well, the smell is a bit off-putting but the man insisted they were good, so i tried them. And they do taste very good.

Well... [Taking an honest to God moment to think about her answer, Aerith recalls the first time she tried that awful smelling pickle. She was on her own in the streets of Lindblum until that foul odor found her. Like Raine, she was repulsed instantly but then a wave of curiosity in the form of braveness got her to try one.]

I guess you could say I do but only in moderation. I don't want to stink! Not even the sweetest smelling flowers could hide an odor like that.

Those gyshal pickles are only good when you're feeling a tad bold.

I kept getting lost while I was there.

[She understands... but she's been getting used to Esthar, so Lindblum is similar for her.]

I'm sure he does. It's like a smaller version of Esthar.

I thought the smell might be worse than the taste. I was wrong.

I'm Rydia, by the way.

Nor I the pickles.

... You have children?

If you are searching for a good florist, then you won't find anyone better me but I don't have a shop of my own. [Not yet, rather. Aerith was still debating whether or not she should settle down within Lindblum.]

But...I know of a few places you might like. That is if you are feeling bold enough to travel with a stranger.

[She giggles.] I'm Aerith Gainsborough, it's nice to meet you.

Great! I'll give you a ring later then. I know a few nice places but the best flowers are grown by an old woman and her son in the Theater District.

Everyone there like to use their bouquets in the plays or operas.

[So very happy to meet another gardener, Aerith almost couldn't wait to meet Raine now.]

What kind of flowers did you grow, Raine? Mine were just common yellow and white flowers that used to sprout from the patch of grass within the old church. They had long bright green stems and pretty thin petals.

The yellow flowers tend to grow more than the white ones, so I charged a little extra when I sold the white ones.
