[Lili is finally fully recovered and ready to set out after the journey to the Wind Shrine. She'll be wandering around Troia for a little bit. If anyone there would like to say hello, feel free to do so. She's slowly making her way to the airship docks.

In the meantime she also wants to call a few people to check in on them. So here's her list of calls (even though some of you probably don't keep your phones on you...):

It's somewhat frightening to think they could always be listening. Lufene also had a mirror of sorts she used to see the others traveling to the shrines. It's as if we're merely chess pieces in their games.

A mirror....

[Mjrn frowns.]

Your description seems accurate. I do not suggest we succumb to their intentions for us; far from it. If they believe us mere pawns, however, that might lead to our advantage. Their underestimation of us will be their undoing.

We'll show them just how easily we "pawns" can topple their tyranny. I've no doubt everyone will manage to do so. More than simply due to the spell, surely there is a reason we are all here now. A part for each of us to play, if you will.

Aye. And no doubt, there are more yet to come. It is unfortunate for them, to be taken from their home, yet we may have need of them here.

[She sighs.]

We need to end that spell, and soon....

I do hope we'll be able to do so. I feel badly when friends and family are separated, and that even children are taken...

I can only hope that if any more come they will see this as a second chance at a new life. I think at this point it's all that can be hoped for.

Perhaps Jote will return. Though I hope, for her sake, that she does not.

Jote? Someone you know from home?

[Mjrn looks back and nods.]

Aye. She is the eldest sister; Fran, you met, and I am the youngest.

[She trails off for a moment, then continues in a softer tone.]

Jote arrived here, many months ago. She was...it is hard to explain, to one not kin. Viera have a bond with the Wood, and for Jote to involuntarily leave her embrace...she could not adjust. It is best that she remain behind.

But then, your family will be torn asunder...

I'm sorry, Mjrn.

Would that I could reunite your family for you. I may not know of the Wood, but I understand what it feels like to lose those closest to you.

[Mjrn echoes that sympathy in her gaze.]

In truth, my family was torn asunder long ago. To leave the Wood, it is a sin that cannot be forgiven. Fran knew this, when she departed...and so did I.

Is the law of the Wood truly so strict as to separate families for good if one chooses to leave?

[Mjrn is quick to nod.]

Viera must live always with the Wood. They believe themselves a part of Her, so to depart is unthinkable...for most.

But...

I know family can't ever be replaced, but if there's ever anything I can do for you, or your sisters, I'll do it without question.

[Mjrn rests a hand atop hers; it wasn't her intention to court sympathy, but she's grateful for it, nonetheless.]
