[The video feed switches on to show two emerald eyes peering at it. Wide curious eyes blink when it seems that the PHS is working, and the face pulls away to show the accomplished smile on a young woman’s face.]

There! It looks like I got it working teehee!

I had a cute little moogle explaining to me what happened, but as nice as it is to be here, I really should be getting back to my world.

[Aerith falls quiet for a moment, but her smile never fades from her expression.]

I don’t suppose that anyone knows how to do that~? [She smiles fondly at the screen. It's obvious in the background that she's out the front of a church.] While this little church is nice, it's not my church and I really should return to tend to them.

We return to the same moment. [The words are spoken more to herself than to Vincent.

She momentarily glances down from the screen at the news. There's some part of her that's relieved to hear that, but Vincent's following question causes her heart to skip a beat. While she doesn't like hiding anything from her friends, Aerith doesn't want to speak of the fact that it was moments before her sacrifice.]

Oh! I was just on a walk before arriving here. [The smile she wears could fool anyone, and she's changing the topic in the next moment.] What's the last thing you remember?

[The news about Zack being there has disturbed her, but she's hiding it all with a smile as she regards the screen.] I see. Thank you Vincent for telling me.

[...yeah, he can guess. He won't call her out on it directly, but it's easy enough to tell that he doesn't really believe those words- or that smile of hers.]

Something I wouldn't remember? [She's confused for a moment before she's regarding the device playfully.] Are you teasing me now, Vincent~?

I was taken from a time three years ahead of yours.

[He doesn't respond to the teasing. Serious conversation is serious.]

Three years. [That surprised her, but there's also some relief as well. Did that mean that Sephiroth was stopped?] So Meteor was stopped?

[Not saying any more than that, unless she asks- and even then, he might not. She probably doesn't need to know some of the things that will happen.]

It sounds as though there's a lot that I'll need to be caught up about.

[That comforts her a little, and makes the urgency of her return a little less urgent for now.]

[He takes a moment to tally it up in his head.]

A year? That's quite some time! [There's a pause before she glances at the screen curiously.] Are you happy?

When there's time. Until then, you should join the others in Luca.

[Happy? An interesting thing for her to pick up on to ask. It's true that he's dodging the question, but the answer is also sort of genuine.]

I'm fine.

Mmm! I heard that Tifa and the others are there.

[She notices the dodge, but figures she can corner him later about it once she's settled in. If he knows her well enough, he might suspect that's what she'll do later.]

They live there. Yuffie has taken charge in Wutai.

[He knows, but he figures he can dodge it. He's managed to make a close friend in Rishfee, but he's barely mentioned Rishfee to the people from his world, let alone introduced them to each other.]

Wutai's here? [She's actually surprised at that! Aerith hasn't looked at the map yet on her communicator.

Dodge all you want, Aerith will pull the information out of him eventually~]

Wutai, and a version of Midgar from the future of the Planet.

[She will. It will just be a long and painful process. That's always how it is with him.]

Midgar as well? That's all from our world? [Now she's wondering if her church is there.

Aerith does not mind! The more work there is, the more rewarding the outcome]

[Her church is there. It's just swarmed by moogles/monsters/new plant life now.]

Yes. Locations appear on this world, just as people do.

I hope that those areas back home don't get affected by their appearance here. [She looks a little concerned over that.]

[She's quiet for a moment before her expression brightens.]

Well, I guess we'll just have to find a way to return to make sure that it doesn't, right?

Are you in Luca as well? That's where Cloud, Tifa and the others are hmm? [She's hoping that she remembers that correctly!]

[She does.] I'm in Lindblum. [He's rarely in Luca, and if he is, it isn't always for long. But he won't say that. And he might just show up there again soon.]

You're not with the others? [That actually surprises her.]

[She's never really gotten to see how he acts when there isn't a mission tying him to the group.]

[That confuses her, since all that she knows is that he seemed happy with AVALANCHE.]

I'm sorry, I just don't understand. Don't you want to be with the others?
