[Rydia's standing by a shallow pool of water, staring around with undisguised nostalgia. The reason for that becomes apparent when she pans around with her sky phone, revealing a village familiar to at least some people. It's that of Mist, at least as it was whole and unspoiled. That the area is completely devoid of anyone else blunts her enjoyment a little, but...at least she can see her hometown again. That's something she won't take for granted.]

It's happened again, though this time I wasn't taken to the Feymarch.

[She smiles, though. While she misses the Eidolon kingdom, this place is also very dear to her heart.]

I hope I'm not needed for anything, since I'd like to spend my time here as long as this lasts. Far too much time has passed since I've been home, even though this isn't real...for now. I wonder if this means Mist is next to appear in Gaia?

I'm not sure how it's possible either, just that...I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Who knows, maybe Mist will be here soon.

...you might see Damcyan soon, Edward.

[Even if this may be an illusion of some kind, the thought of Rydia finally getting the closure she needs makes him happy. Edward knew that the summoner planned to rebuild Mist once the war ended, but now maybe she can do so here on Gaia.]

If your village does show here on Gaia, then you must lead your people. The Summoners of Mist need a leader, and you can be their leader. I have faith in you, Rydia.

[He paused at the mention of Damcyan appearing here.]

I...I certainly hope so.

...it would be nice, for the summoners of Gaia to have a living home.

[Rydia grows solemn at the thought of leading Mist. It's what her mother would want, to be sure....]

Well, the way it works is that places from our memories are drawn to us. I have no doubt you'll see your kingdom again, though whether or not it remains here is another matter entirely.

Wouldn't it? It would be like a come true for you, Rydia.

[While he certainly does know that this phenomenon might be Garland's doing, a part of Edward really hopes Mist stays. Rydia deserves the chance to live her dream.]

...I see. I suppose it's merely a matter of time then. I wonder if Penelo would be interested to see my Damcyan with her own eyes.

[She smiles at that.]

I'm sure she would, but if you mean right now...I don't know. From what I remember, only those with memories of the place can go there.

[He nods solemnly.]

If that is true, then perhaps I shall record my tour through Damcyan when the time comes. Someday Penelo shall see her in all her beauty, but that day has not arrived just yet.

That's a good idea. If you do, be sure to pass it on to us. I wouldn't mind seeing Damcyan again, either.

[At least, as Edward knew it and not the ruin she had witnessed.]

Worry not, I shall! It would be wondrous for all to see my Damcyan as it once was. It was such a beauty, a glittering diamond amongst dusty coal. Perhaps one day my kingdom shall strive once more, but until then I shall look to the past to remember its former beauty.

[She nods encouragingly.]

Keep that image of the past as clear and bright; someday, it will be a reality again.

The same goes for you as well, Rydia. Never forget, your village shall one day strive again.
