[The Warrior was about to start saying something when he turned on the sky phone, only to be distracted by a glimpse of white and gold out of the corner of his eye. He's staring in the direction he saw it, trying to see if it was really the person he thought it was.]

Cosmos?

...No, it couldn't be. And yet I thought I saw...

[He stares for a moment longer before frowning and bringing his attention back to the sky phone.]

The journey to the Mirage Tower and the device was not eventful or dangerous, though we did discover that the device has the purpose I thought it to be for. Once everything is ready, we would be able to use it to discover the Chaos Shrine.

[Normally Porom might have teleported back to Mysidia, it's close enough to manage it fairly easily, but she doesn't quite trust whatever illusions hide the tower not to interfere with her magic. Better safe than sorry, at least until she's out of the desert.

She's not particularly interested in the Warrior's message, she already knows the trip was a success, but is a little concerned by his distraction. Once he's done with his announcement, she approaches.]

[He pauses in the middle of glancing around again- even if it wasn't her, there had to have been something that he had seen that would make him think that his goddess was here. He isn't finding anything, though.]

Yes... I merely thought I saw someone I knew. But she could not possibly be here...

[Cosmos is dead, for one. And even if she were alive, would she even be able to appear on Gaia?]

[She pauses, considers the visions of Lapin and the elder and the constant sense of Palom's presence that have been haunting her and then promptly decides that they're clearly totally unrelated. Because if they were then that would make Palom's presence just another illusion. Fortunately, there's something nearby that she can place the blame on rather than considering anything upsetting.]

...could it have been the tower's doing? If it can hide itself then it might be able to cause other illusions.

From what I can remember of it... I do not believe it has ever done that before. Though I suppose it is possible...

[He wouldn't like it to be the tower's doing, though, because he's going to be leaving there soon... and, to be honest, he would like to be able to catch another glimpse of her. Even if it is an illusion, it will give him another image to keep in his head instead of one of her being encased in a pillar of flames.]

[The more she considers the possibilities, the more difficult it becomes to ignore the conclusion. Ceodore mentioned a similar illusion only a few days ago, after all.]

I've sensed the presence of my brother and others from my homeland for a few days now. Cecil's son mentioned something similar, too. I'd preferred to think of it as a sign that they were to arrive but- perhaps it is some sort of trick?
