[Action - Open to any in Mysidia]

[Ah, Mysidia. Ursula was a bit delayed in reaching the mage town, thanks to other issues. Nonetheless, the princess has kept to her word and with Ceodore at her side. An unusually quiet, distant Ceodore. She's still not certain what has triggered the change in his demeanor, but there just hasn't been time alone to ask. Maybe she'll find out later, when he stops denying that he's fine.

At any rate, she's now wandering the town, heading in the vague direction of the Hall of Prayer but also content to explore until she runs into the white mage. The princess is curious as to how the other town from her world is adjusting to Gaia, and so she'll be stopping to chat with anyone who will give her the time. The temporary change of scenery is welcome and she plans to take full advantage of it.

At some point, Ursula pauses abruptly and peers around with wide eyes. She could have sworn she heard a very familiar voice....]

...Mother...?

[She sighs.]

I'd have expected him to enjoy the trip after being stuck in Troia for so long. Still, I suppose he can't have particularly good memories of Mysidia.

[She gives a shrug and then smiles. She's not too worried. From having a brother and teaching the younger mages she's learned one valuable lesson: teenage boys tend to act like teenage boys.]

Don't worry about him, I'm sure he'll be fine. I trust you're well?

I think he would forgive you for continuing your training without him. I know I will be most displeased with my students should I return to find that they've been doing nothing to further their studies in my absence.

[She smiles]

And the people of different worlds may have different things to teach you. That new knowledge could only be good for Fabul as a kingdom.

W-well... no. I just thought that maybe...

[Cringe.]

I didn't mean it like that. I just, um...

I screwed up again, didn't I?

[Good grief, just shoot the poor boy and put him out of his misery.]

[When Ceodore comes back, it's with brushed hair. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW POROM? Although it's still just not going to actually lay down being far too thick for that, and not nearly so glorious as his dad's. He'll thrust the brush in Porom's direction with a 'don't do that again' sort of look. Otherwise, he's not nearly so out of sorts as he was a moment ago.]

What'd I miss?

[identity profile] lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's not pity. It's mercy killing! Save him from his own stupid. Oh he remembers, and sweet holy Eidolons, she looks like her dad right now. Intimidating? Hell yes.

Right. Manning up now. After a deep breath.]

You are the prettiest girl I know. Not hard to see that other guys think so too and would try to get your attention.

It sounded like someone had.

[And he was jealous, to put it mildly.]

[identity profile] lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[That's a well earned slap, and probably far less than he deserves. At least he's got the good grace not to argue back in his defense. There's really not a decent one anyway.]

[identity profile] lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ceodore nods slowly.]

I'm sorry, Ursula.

[identity profile] praygenius.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[Porom smiles pleasantly as if she didn't just passive-agressive Ceodore into brushing his hair, taking the hairbrush back.]

I'm afraid I don't know of any monks on this world other than you. But I'm sure there must be someone who could train you.

[identity profile] lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
You'll be able to find one. I'm sure.

[identity profile] praygenius.livejournal.com 2011-01-16 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Porom nods, almost seeming sheepish. She's not used to having to learn things rather than instantly being good at them.]

Thank you again for this, Ursula. I'm grateful that you'd honour such a frivolous request.

[identity profile] lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com 2011-01-16 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
[He looks between the two girls, genuinely perplexed.]

Huh? Oh that thing Porom wanted help with?

[identity profile] lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com 2011-01-16 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
I won't. I promise.

[Earnest face. See, not even looking away.]

[identity profile] praygenius.livejournal.com 2011-01-16 03:34 pm (UTC)(link)
It was never really part of my studies...

[Is she supposed to explain herself here? She's not needed a teacher for something in years. Crystals, how do you people put up with not knowing everything and instantly being good at everything you try? It's all kinds of awkward.]

If you're not tired from your journey, I think I'd like to begin as soon as possible.

[identity profile] lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com 2011-01-16 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well you can see how well Ceodore deals with not being good at something. Or not as good as his parents. Probably for the best Porom's not in that boat.]

Dance? Uh, she doesn't know?

[He suffered those lessons young. How does Porom not know? Wait a second...]

Um, do you need me for this?

[identity profile] praygenius.livejournal.com 2011-01-17 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
[She doesn't know because it doesn't really come up nearly as much when you're not royalty and all your plans for the future point to 'stay in this one town and read books and pray a lot'. Funny how that works. She nods cheerfully.]

That would be very helpful.

[identity profile] lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com 2011-01-17 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
I-I guess.

[Oh man... not that he's bad at- well no, he's clumsy. He's not all that great at dancing. Brave face. Putting on a brave face. It's just dancing, not fighting malboros.]

Where?

[Because he refuses to do this in the middle of town.]
