[She's jittery with excitement and nerves when she makes these two phone calls. As soon as Rinoa and Rydia pick up, she gets right to the heart of the matter:]

It's time!

[Later on, she returns to Raine's side to see what she can do. She's worried. She can't help feeling that this is a repeat of what happened last time. She's worried it'll turn out that way. But she won't let Raine see that. Trying to protect Slai, she'll do her best to help Raine while keeping the child occupied. It's the least she can do right now.]


[ooc: I think this would go faster party style tagging? But that's up for debate, still. Anyway, I'll get a couple of subthreads up and then we can all have at and whenever it gets done, it gets done!]

[To Luzaf:] I will. Thank you. Having other people around for now will help us both, I think.

[Selphie reacts to the question about Uncle Laguna first and Ellone just lets it go with that. She doesn't want to talk about it and her worry just heightens. Looking down at Slai, she runs a hand over the child's head.]

Hey... [Something occurs to her. The best way to get Slai out of the house, or at least the main rooms, so she doesn't have to see anything of this is to give her someone to play with.]

Selphie, do you think you could do me a favor? Would you take Slai outside to play for a little? Just until it's all over?

[He casts Selphie a sidelong glance before shaking his head and at least having the grace to not answer the look with his own. Then he turns to Ellone.
Ah, the child is to go. Excellent. Then he can speak freely at the very least.]

[Selphie holds a hand out for Slai with a reassuring smile that's more likely to feel like a reassurance to the teenager than to the younger child.]

Wanna go build some snowmen with me, Slai?

Thanks, Selphie. [She's relieved to at least not have to worry about the little girl. Slai nods brightly, smiling as she takes Selphie's hand and starts outside.] Keep your Sky Phone on. I'll let you know if anything happens.

[Turning back to Luzaf, she offers an apologetic smile.]

Sorry. It's been a long day.

[As Selphie and Slai head out, Rydia's on her way inside. She pauses to let them go first, waving.]

[But her attention is more on other matters. She quickly heads over to Ellone.]

Rydia! Not right now. It hasn't been very long and the midwife won't let us stay in the room yet.

[She smiles and waves at Rydia before nodding to Luzaf.] Thank you. I really appreciate your help. I'm not very good at organizing big events, no matter what they are, so having a lot of people to help will make it so much easier. If you need anything, like drinks or food or anything, just let me know. We have plenty.

Well, regardless, I add myself to the list of helpers around. One more pair of hands can't hurt.

Right now, I think we all just need the company and support. It's been a bit more excitement than we're used to so far.
