[ video post ] - backdated slightly

[ Fran is sat in the cockpit of the Strahl, and more importantly, she is sat in the captain's seat, rather than the navigator's. ]

To those who know him, or those who know of him... it is my belief that Balthier has returned to Ivalice.

Whatever people wish to believe about the assassination of Vayne is their own choice. Yet I know Balthier is innocent. Believe what you will, yet keep your negative comments from my ears.

He's...

[A sigh] Balthier was a good man Fran.

I hope you meet him again in...Ivalice, was it?

[Mjrn is downcast as she responds.]

...I am sorry, sister. I hope you will be reunited soon.

Another one leaves? Is there any sign or warning before this happens, or does it just occur?

[Vaan appears, noticeably older and more collected, if only slightly.]

Fran, good to see you're well.

...Looks like I've just missed Balthier by a hair, then. However if you claim his innocence, I'm inclined to agree.

[Ashe hesitates; doesn't Fran know that Balthier was responsible? At least, he had confessed such to her... the princess is confused, her voice quieted.]

... When I spoke to him last, he mentioned an intention to 'take matters into his own hands', which I interpreted as finding the means to escape confinement. However, if he remains unheard from, by yourself, no less - I suspect you're right.
