[Early in the morning, Mjrn is winding her way around Lindblum's streets. Her spear is in hand, and a backpack hangs from one shoulder. She pays little attention to the noise and bustle of those around her, doing her best to ignore what snatches of conversation reach her ears. Normally bright-eyed and curious about everything, the young Viera seems lost in thought. Even the warbling of the fat little cockatrice accompanying her does not pierce that mental fog.

Despite giving little notice to her surroundings, Mjrn walks with purpose. She pauses only to purchase some fresh fruit and other food for Chit from a startled vendor before moving onward, toward the gate. Even though she was growing accustomed to the noise and numbers of humes and others within the city, Mjrn at the moment just needs to be away. Not even intermittent drizzling or clouds that threaten more of the same are going to keep her from venturing outside the city's walls. As far as the young Viera is concerned, it's time to train.]

One cannot always choose the battlefield. To battle in rain is a challenge that I have not mastered, so I find need to train in this weather.

[She nods, approvingly.]

To train in only fair weather would hardly be sufficient preparation.

[And with that, she heads toward the gate again.]

Is there a favored area outside these walls, that you might wish to visit?

I have found battles experience many different lays of the land. I would welcome any that suit your fancy, yet I presume from the spear that high rock croppings would suit your style.

Aye, this is true. I often train at or near the Pinnacle Rocks. It is quite suitable for suck a task.

[Chit is content to waddle alongside them. She's less apt to run off in random directions once they leave the city behind, though it still happens here and there. Mjrn doesn't stop her, just merely glances over to see that she isn't getting into trouble.]

I find a peace there that is lacking in the city. Ironic, I suppose, considering my use for it.

Yet if you do not battle in peace, then you will not long survive.
