[Flickering on right in the middle of a frantic chase, the frightened cries of an unlucky prince filter into the audio along with groans of a few surly beasts.]

I-I do not know what matter of jest this is but I demand to be returned bac—[The poor prince lets out a loud shriek once something lunged at him with a fearsome snarl.] What was that!? The beasts of the underworld walk with too much ease here!

[Fleeing as fast as he can, the bard let out a few more terrified screams as the ghouls and monsters began to converge upon him. His footsteps could be heard quite loudly through the stereo of his sky phone, especially since he was clutching it within his hands as he runs.]

C-Cecil! Yang! There are beasts here! H-help! Help as quickly as you can!

[In the middle of his cries, Edward actually falls and the sky phone goes tumbling down the adjacent staircase. After a few painful cracks and agonized gasps, a soft moan is heard.]

I had the strangest encounter today. I was searching for shelter east of Oeilvert when I found a cave inside a crack in the canyon wall. Only the cave wasn't empty! There was a strange old woman living inside. Matoya's her name. Hmm, wasn't there a book somewhere with that name...

I asked her how long she'd been living there. "Centuries," she told me. Riiiiight. "But if you've been living here alone for years," I asked, "don't you get bored?" I offered to give her news of Gaia, but she laughed at me. "I don't just sit here," she said. "I watch the world through my seeing eye."

Gotta admit, that surprised me. Even though I knew she was a witch and all, what with the talking broomsticks sweeping the floor. I asked her what she'd seen. Maybe she knew something about that Memoria business.

But all she said was, "Many are the comings and goings in this world, yet the Cycle of Chaos is never broken."

She knows how to give a traveller the shivers, that old crone. Brr! And she wouldn't tell me what she meant! I guess she doesn't have much patience for visitors, since she told me to leave. I'm gonna keep thinking about this now...
