Citizens of Gaia:

I, Regent Cid of Lindblum, wish to send you all a message of hope. This past winter has been hard on everyone. We have experienced food shortages, monster invasions, unprovoked attacks, and only a few days ago, we were plunged into visions we most likely didn't want to see. 

But through this turmoil, I am proud to say that the people of Gaia have remained strong. I am proud to serve people of such courage and fortitude. I promise you now, spring will come and we will work to ensure a prosperous future. We won't allow those who would destroy that future to run amok! The madman Kefka was recently sighted in Lindblum. To ensure the safety of all citizens, I am increasing the number of knights patrolling the streets, as well as introducing automated defenders known as rooks to protect us all. He won't set foot here again, you can be sure of that.

Rest assured that I and other heads of state are working to set things right. No-one can know exactly what lies ahead, but we can be ready for it.

Well, I had simply intended to check in with you all and see how you were faring. I would still like to hear such news - Lady Ashe, congratulations on your lovely baby! But I hear that Figaro has been claimed by another? - but we have far graver matters to discuss.

First, Kefka. I'm afraid to say that he is actually the least of our worries now. But the scoundrel just appeared in Lindblum and it's about time that he was stopped for good. Lord Vayne has been kind enough to provide us with weapons, the rooks I spoke of, to defend our borders, and I think they could be used to defeat this clown too.

Second, Kuja has once more appeared in Gaia. Don't be fooled by his manner; his only goal is to bring chaos to Gaia. The last time he was here, he masterminded the destruction of all three realms of the Mist Continent. We still haven't fully recovered from that. We mustn't allow him to gain any influence again.

Third, Memoria. I believe that the fact we were all transported to that place has terrible implications for Gaia. I won't say more until I have more information, but it may be the reason that any of you Sky People are here.

Is it true that Garland has returned? Zidane, I want to know everything that he said to you. Cloud, you spoke of encountering Garland before. What can you tell us about him? His aims? His powers? Did he bring us to Memoria? Why? We need to put our heads together to work this out.

With that said, I would like to propose another meeting aboard the Invincible on the 22nd February. Some things are best discussed in person. The sooner we can figure out a plan, the better. Let me know what you think.

Quite fine to be honest, Your Excellency. I have taken a mild fondness for Narshe despite the dreadful weather.

This much I can see given the events that has transpired as of late. While I am, certain this does not need to be said, acting with haste against Kefka's lunacy is the only way to deal with him. Lindblum shan't suffer the same fate as Wutai as long as your kingdom stands strong against this menace.

However, I must inquire as to who this Kuja is. Stating him as the perpetrator of crimes in the past has earned my interest and I am certain I am not the only who is curious about him.

Kuja... It's a long story. We first heard of him as a weapons dealer. But as for his real identity... He is a Genome, created only to cause chaos in Gaia. He believed himself to be immortal and when he found out that he would eventually die, he turned completely insane and tried to destroy everything.

A weapons dealer who turned out to be wicked and twisted soul? He certainly sounds as devious as Kefka but I assume there are differences between the two fools.

Ah, no. Zidane and his party defeated Kuja. My airship fleet simply got them there.

Zidane, you say. I do not believe I have met anyone by that name.

I trust that he and his allies are willing to assist us members of parliament regardless of the chaos that has ensued thanks to Kefka's advances.
