I would like to discuss the situation regarding Wutai with you.  The country in question is from my world.

[Vayne on the other hand looks just as stoic and fit as ever. If he's been out battling beasts, he's not showing it at all. He's clearly inside one of the houses, and quite possibly the best available if one were to judge by furnishings.]

Rufus Shinra. Wutai was under the control of my father and later myself before I came here. I noticed you seem to have an interest in the country and found myself curious about your intentions.

I see. I volunteered to eradicate an ongoing problem with sea piracy, a process going quite well until this sudden influx of monsters. The citizens are secure indoors with adequate food and water, and fighters have been deployed to exterminate them.

My intentions are to continue here only until the peace and safety of the citizens have been fully secured, from all threats.

Of course, but as I was selected to the task by election, I would be remiss to leave the task incomplete. These people have endured troubles enough of late and a sudden change of power would be distressing and cruel to them. Perhaps you could travel here and we can discuss a satisfactory transfer with the weal of the people in mind.

Yes of course, other matters which take precedence over the administration of Wutai. I assure you that we have matters well in hand, yet to depart at this time would be tantamount to abandonment. Perhaps some other time when you are less occupied we can make arrangements.
