That Farplane is really something. I didn't believe it at first. I don't scare easily, but that gave me the shivers. I saw moogles I never thought I'd see again...

I'm on my way to Esto Gaza right now. I'm gonna pray for all those who died in Midgar. And I saw something else that gave me the shivers: the Shimmering Island is shimmering again. Now that is a strange place if I ever saw one. I wonder what caused it?

I don't know what this means, guys, but if I were you I'd stay away from that island. Something doesn't feel right.

It is, if I may say so, a piece of my homeland. For many years, centuries perhaps, my people, the Guado of Guadosalam, have kept watch over the Farplane, as it is a sacred place in Spira. If you have questions of the place itself, I may be able to answer them.

I am the leader of the Guado and have been since my father's time on Spira was cut.

As for the Farplane, it is the place where the pyreflies gather. They react to the memories presented by visitors to form the images of the departed. They will not speak, but you are free to speak to them as you please. However, only the dead appear on the Farplane. The living are not able to.

The Shimmering Island is a gateway to another world! The last time the gate opened, I went through and found myself in a place called Bran Bal. But then it was destroyed...

...yet it shimmers again. This is troubling. What was the nature of Bran Bal? If it were renewed through some means, might it harm this world?

Well, that's a tough question. Bran Bal itself was a beautiful place, very strange, but the people definitely weren't nasty. But the reason it got connected to our world at all was because a man wanted to merge the two worlds. I don't really get it, but I think he wanted to turn Gaia into Terra!

The last time it shimmered, it opened a gateway to another world. But that whole world was destroyed, so how the heck can it be open again? That's what I don't get. I hope we're not in for some trouble.
