[Edge is soooo excited to have finally found the perfect ring for his bride that he just can't wait for the end of the day to run home and give it to her.]

[During the course of the day however, he did notice Rinoa's question and has wondered just what Rydia thinks of it. It's barely on his mind as he rushes off to look for Rydia.]

[In fact, he's sporting one of his "I'm up to something" grins when he finally finds her.]

[Rydia glances up from checking the Sky Phone on the balcony, still mulling over the message from Rinoa. Seeing Edge's grin snaps her from her thoughts and she heads over to him with a warm smile.]

[It's really tough. Eblan is his Kingdom, his people. Alfitaria isn't even though he's come to care for the people, but he'd follow Rydia anywhere.]

I'd really like to see Mist again...and Eblan. But from what she said, we'd be endangering them if we tried to return.

[One enthusiastic, passionate kiss later, and Rydia's forced to part just a little so that they can breathe. Her lips quirk in a small grin.]

It's a hard thing, not to be able to keep my promise to rebuild. I won't lie about that. But...if I tried to cross over, I might end up hurting it worse than if I stayed behind. That would sort of defeat the purpose, wouldn't it?

Eblan is my responsibility, but if Garland wins there there won't be a kingdom to take you to. I...We should stay here and give them a chance to rebuild.

They will. Mist and Eblan have strong-willed people. They'll manage.

Besides...Alfitaria still needs us, doesn't it? It's not as though we'll be aimless here.

[Their queen might never arrive, and at this rate, Rydia is beginning to doubt it will happen. If they succeed...the city could be theirs to care for indefinitely.]
