Eventually she moves her hand enough to show who's the victims of the mishap. Raine and Laguna, who is holding a rather adorable piglet in his hands.]

Laguna, what is that? [Sternface forever.]

This guy? [Laughs.] Come on, Raine, you know what a pig looks like!

I know it's a pig. Why is it here? [Not winning points here honey.]

Because... he needed a home? [Hopeful smile.] He seemed so lonely, and I thought, you know... we've got the room, and he could hang out with Ward.

[Arms fold over her chest.] No. Take it back where you got it from. We have enough living creatures to take care of around here already. Starting with you.

But we have a farmhouse! Isn't having animals part of the fun? You won't have to do anything for him, I'll take care of him, like all the others. Wait -- what do you mean, starting with me? I'm not a creature!

We have enough mouths to feed around here without you bringing home a new animal every time I blink. [Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh... oh wait, child standing there with phone.] Slai, what is it honey? Did you need something?

But the goat eats garbage, it's economical-- hey, Slai. Is that my phone? ... hey, nevermind, what do you think about having a pet pig, huh?

[Raine leans up and pecks Laguna on the lips to soften her criticism of his kitchen helping skills.]

Too bad you've got a thing for collecting animals. I don't know where we're going to find time for us with everything we're going to be responsible for.

[She might be teasing him. Just a bit.]

[He colors slightly. Even though they're married, that never gets old. He grins widely.]

Say what you will about my kitchen skills, but I'm great at time management. Get over here.

[He laughs and puts an arm around her waist, grabbing her and tugging her towards him so he can steal a kiss.]

[She laughs too and shakes her head, before Laguna gets away with that kiss stealing.]

We never can have a serious conversation...

[It either turns into a series of jokes or Laguna smooching her. The second isn't really all that bad though.]

[That's right. Always diffuse the situation with adorable. Works like a charm. Besides, stealing kisses is its own reward. He smirks, arm still firmly around her waist.]

Guess you're right about that one. Is that a complaint?

Only that you stopped.

[More kissing, husband dear.]

I can fix that. [He grins, encircling both arms around her waist and leaning back against the frame of the nearby doorway, pulling her against him for some very PG-13 kissing. Stay in the other room, Slai.]

[Slai stays out of the room, but the fun can't last forever and this time the interruption comes from Brooke letting out a wail as she wakes from her nap. Raine groans in frustration and lays her forehead against Laguna's chest.]

It's always something.

[Laguna sighs and looks towards the source of the crying, smoothing Raine's hair back from her forehead as she settles it against his chest.]

... think we could get Elle to take care of her for a little while?

[Raine lifts her voice to at least try.] Ellone? Can you check on the baby?

I'm not sure it's fair to ask her to do this though.

It would be okay, right? Just this once?

[She glances up just to see if maybe Brooke will quiet on her own... just for a couple more minutes.]

[He sighs.]

I'll check on her. Maybe she'll go back to sleep?

[Miracle of miracles the baby's quiet now. Either she's content or Elle's got her.]

Oho. [He gives her a mischievous grin.] Good news for us.

[He chuckles, making a sort of purring sound at the back of his throat that even strikes him as wildly uncharacteristic, but does spur him to laugh before he flips their positioning so that Raine is pressed against the doorway.]
