[The video feed opens to show a scene of devastation, the landscape torn apart in the only way raging waters have been known to do. A moment of focus on this ruin and the camera is shifted to show a blond man with rather long hair and dressed in attire typical of mages. The only thing overly interesting about his appearance would be the two 'horns' fashioned out of what appears to be the man's own hair on either side of his head.]

Does anyone know what happened here?

I just woke here in a town not too far from this...ruin. I had thought perhaps to walk to the city of Alexandria from here, but I'm not so sure that's a wise decision if there is something capable of such destruction as this running amok.

[The man's face is almost familiar, but the warrior pushes that idea aside. With his memory the way it is, there is no telling why he feels like he should recognize the man.

The scene around him is what catches the Warrior's attention for the moment.]

[Well, well. Warrior of Light was here as well, hm? There was 4 of the 10 warriors, well just 3 now with Firion having passed on, he wondered just how many more were here. And if they were here..how many of those from Chaos were here beyond himself and apparently Garland and Kuja? None of this shows in his expression though, its kept carefully calm if perhaps a touch concerned.]

[A almost thoughtful pause and he speaks again as if the next idea had only just occurred to him]

Was someone you knew in this area?

A friend, but there was an enemy there as well. It seems that both have disappeared from there.

[Maetus knows that Firion is dead, but the warrior doesn't know that he knows, and he isn't going to try to explain it.]

If you come across an older man wearing glasses, be careful of him.

[Though the Emperor would be more than glad to send you to see him if so you wished, but this was neither the time or place to make such suggestive offers which would destroy his current act.]

I will make certain to keep a watch out for such a man and will speak to those here in this town to be wary of him as well.

[He'll actually do no such thing as he knows just whom Warrior speaks of and considers him a useful pawn at the moment, however those words do sound good over the air even if they aren't true.]
