[Irvine sitting on his bed, clothed, rubbing his head]

I don't remember about what happened last night. Something about women, liquor, and a whole bunch of weird anger.

So I want to say I apologize for the ass I made of myself on the network. And in no way did I mean any of things I said.

Now, I'm gonna lie down and how the room stops spinning and my head stops throbbing

[Irvine now lies in his room closing his eyes and relaxes just a little bit]

[Her eyes lock with his for just a second before she's staring at the floor and gently nudging the door open with her foot.]

Sure... c'mon in.

[Walks in and sighs] I know you have some questions or something to yell at me or throw at me, so...just do it or say it, cause I deserve it...

But I just wanted to let you know [Head lowers] I'm sorry...for everything.

[Selphie sits on the floor near a box of tissues and uses one to dry her eyes.] I'm sorry that I don't remember but you didn't need to say those things. It doesn't matter if I do or don't remember what you remember Irvine. What matters is that we're here now and it's nobody's fault but that stupid Garland's that we're all here. But hey... we're gonna kick his butt just like Ultimecia's!

As for us being together... [She trails off.]

[Shakes head] That was once upon a time ago Selph, this is now. Besides at least we have our friendship together that's really what counts right? And I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world.

Then why did you tell me that you love me if it was once upon a time?!

[Looks away from her and up at the ceiling] Maybe...Maybe because I still do. I mean I still think about all the good times we had, before we came to Gaia to when we were on Gaia. I loved that feeling of having you that close to me, but [Looks down] like I said, that was once upon a time ago. [Grins] No point in trying to revive the past huh?

[She sighs. You don't just say things like that to a gal like Selphie and automatically expect everything to be sunshine and lollipops right away.] I guess so.

[Irvine now has to go and lie to the girl, a heavy sigh] Also...I could tell we started drifting apart...and eventually the two of us realized that we were better friends, then a couple. [Shrugs] We loved each other, but not like that.

[Turns to her with a smile] And I would take that, then losing you completely.

[And she buys it! She's still sad about it though. She would've tried to make things work between the two of them but she supposed that never being with her would be enough to get Irvine to stay in one place.]

So... we're just friends then.

Hey, you make it out to be so bad, I mean would you really want me as a boyfriend? I'd probably drive you crazy every time I'd look at another girl [A chuckle, but he hated saying those things to her]

[She leaps to her feet and stares him straight in the face.] I'm not sure what I want! I'm just so confused and I don't want to think or what to say and you're acting like it's never happened!

Because for us, the you and me of right now, it didn't. [Grabs her shoulders] It's better to just think of it as some weird guy's fairy tale. It's just better that if you forgot what I said last night.

[And that's going to be hard as hell because those words just stung. She is willing to try though as she nods slowly.]

Okay.

[Grins softly] Hey. Come on don't go feeling like that okay. [Pulls her close and hugs her]I'm sorry I put you through all this Selphie...and believe me you're the last person I would ever hurt.

[She knows that as she wraps her arms around him. Hugs are always good in Selphie's book.]

[Hugs her for a while, he does not want to lose this feeling. Finally he pulls her back and looks at her with a smile] Feel better now?

Mhmm! But you owe me ice cream.

Fine by me, but only if I get to have some too!

Okay! One spoonful; the rest is all mine!

[Sighs and chuckles] No point in trying to argue with you on ice cream huh?

[She shakes her head.] Nope!

Fair enough, I'll take it as my punishment.
