[After making sure he hadn't fractured his brain during that horrendous accident, the doctor decides to give the young Solidor a ring. Pick up, Larsa! This a rare call from your dead brother's friend.]

No, all is not well. Ffam-I mean, Balthier has vanished as well. Such bittersweet news, that is. Along goes with the remnants of Vayne's former glory here upon this wretched land.
'Tis as if he's nothing more than a memory now, I curse the delegates for forgetting what he has accomplished. This man was hero, and yet all those who've once fought heroically in the sake of his name have been forgotten.
I included.

Then why not eliminate him, milord? The Regent, Fabool.

Ah, yes. Lady Agrias, how could I forget about her? She vehemently warned me about the stones, the same goes for my louse of a son. However, I shan't lie and say I am not interested in the stones at all.
The little tale that corresponds with the auracite speaks of an Ivalice thrust head long into turmoil. An Ivalice where the Empire ceases to exist, and all the lands we once knew no longer exist.
A brave and ambitious young king appeared within the holy sanctuary of Mullonde. This king dreamt of uniting all of Ivalice under his hand, but such feats are never easy to achieve. I must say, this story so far reminds me of the tale of Archadia rise to power. Turning to the ancient tomes and dark magick found within, he allegedly summoned a demon from the netherworld to do his bidding. Although, once unleashed, the demon could not be controlled. It slew the king and set out to destroy the world of men.
It was then that twelve brave warriors were gathered to slay the demon and the foul horrors it has summoned. They soon defeated these said horrors and banished the demon back to the netherworld. Each of these twelve warriors carried with them a crystal engraved with a sign of the zodiac, hence their namesake.
I ask you, Larsa, are you truly brave enough to call upon the power of which you know nothing of? The stones unleashed a devil that hailed from the deepest pits of the netherworld, are you so certain it shan’t slew you as it did it’s former master?
Milord, you need another for this feat. A person worthy enough to examine the stones might. I shall offer myself for such a task for I have naught else to do. I am merely a humble researcher, one who hails from the prestigious laboratories of the famous Draklor.
