[H/W - **2 - Shoddy Video]
[It’s a shaky feed and emitting a heavy panting from the man who’s holding said phone. There’s no shot of him however, but a dirty brown boot and green paratrooper pants. The video is then directed at the busy-looking little town of Lindblum. And he’s obviously far away for where he should be.]
That’s…. Lindblum, ain’t it? [Heavier breathing, as if talking that little bit wore him out. Then a coughing wheeze came over he and the speakers, the view swinging down to the ground to view shoes and a toppled over shadow.
A moment later, he’s back up, clearing his throat and throwing around profanities.] Goddamn… P-O-S body... outta gil… no smokes… bullshit. All’a it. [He grumbles some more before turning around and looking around him; forest.]
Well. Hot damn. That looks like a nice a’nough tree … See ya guys in the mornin’!
[The feed cuts off there, shut off in his pocket.]

[He pauses then sighs.] Perhaps you have spoken to Dr. Cidolfus?

I'll state now that I am nothing like him outside of appearance. In fact, I'm the polar opposite.
His passion was science, mine is airships and piracy.

She is not as advanced as those from certain worlds, but she's mine.

I'm inside her. This is just the common room, of sorts. The engine room is the second best place aboard her.

[He makes his way through to the engine room and pulls open the cover to reveal the inner workings. Very clean and a shining gem in the middle. That's a sky stone!]
The heart is always the most beautiful part.

[He can't help smirking. This has actually cheered him up since his dad was mauled by a certain "demon". Balthier heads off to the cockpit to show off the controls.]
And this is the control panel. Complicated but easy enough once you learn to listen to what she needs.

And still gawking at it all. Some of the panels look familiar, or at least he thinks they do at first glance.] You even use all that? [He laughs.] Damn, you got some crazy advanced system fer fuel but you gotta hell of'va lotta shit clutterin' that panel. How do ya steer 'er?

It is my partner who uses that half.
[He pans to show Fran's side of things, which consist of dials and gagues for monitoring the ship. He then returns the camera to show the steering device. Not so much a wheel but more like bike handles that are vertical. Like a fighter plane.]
It's rather an odd design, but I knew the original designer and he was an equally odd fellow. It's a damn good job I liberated her those eight years ago.
