[The audio clicks on but at first there is nothing but silence heard. It goes on like this for a few more minutes before hushed words are actually spoken.] It's over now. I'm glad.

[A sad sigh could be heard from her along with maybe a sniffle or two.] I wish more happier memories were made before that day but at least we won.

We won. That is all that matters.

[Hesitating to say so much more than this but at least she has a few messages for friends and acquaintances alike.]

Nanaki. Where are you? I'm back in Lindblum again. Did you ever make it to Alexandria? I hope you did.

Are you feeling better? I hope so.

Do you know anything about the Iifa Tree, Larsa? Oops! I mean 'Your Majesty'! [She giggles softly.]

I was ensnared by the words of a man called Dr. Cidolfus Demen Bunansa. I made the mistake of trusting him even a bit, and he captured me. I became a toy for the whims of a mad scientist once again.

[ He sighs. ]

He used a sort of stone from his home world, Ivalice, called nethicite. He tried to... bond it to me, somehow.

I... think it's reacting with the Jenova cells from Hojo, as well as the fact that I am not human, nor from Ivalice.

Another mad scientist?

A stone called 'nethicite'? Was it anything like materia?

I've been told that there are two sorts. The first is incredibly powerful, formed naturally. The second is manufactured; that is the sort he used. Both were apparently quite powerful on Ivalice, but here they can only absorb magic.

A stone that can absorb magic? That sounds pretty harmless but I am guessing that while here the stones lack their real power.

I know my materia is useless now. I guess it's the Will of Gaia...

Anything is harmless until it's in the wrong hands.

The ShinRa Company doesn't exist here beyond Rufus and four Turks, and this Wutai is from before the war -- no reactor. Gaia has different rules. I imagine the man either took control or was placed in charge of it.

[ Nanaki huffs slightly. ]

[She decides not comment about that last bit concerning Cloud.]
