We all knew this was coming
[The screen blurred around for a minute, the phone being moved - tables and chairs, a wood floor, nothing else distinctive. It settles quickly, though at a slightly odd angle - Tidus and Yuna, dressed for traveling on a fairly wet night, can be seen, but only on the bottom half of the screen. This obviously isn't being "filmed" - the phone is just propped up against something.]
Yuna?
[She appears a little confused.]
Yes...?
[And there's a pause, then Tidus starts speaking, obviously saying whatever comes to mind and looking just a little nervous.]
Yuna, I... E-ever since I met you, I've liked you. You were good to me, when everyone thought I'd lost my mind - you believed me about Zanarkand. It seems like you've always been my best friend.
I want... I don't want to lose that, or lose you. We came so close, you couldn't get any closer than that, but we're in this world now and we've got another chance at this - a-and really, we'd be pretty dumb to let it go. I just... I want you with me. Always, no matter what happens.
[Their hands can barely be seen, but the camera just barely catches him pulling something off one of his fingers - and slipping it on hers, then holding on to her hand.]
Yuna... marry me.
[Yuna stares at him for more than a few seconds, taken completely by surprise; she looks down at her hand, her other raising to cover her mouth, and then nods. She speaks very quietly, too quietly for the mic to pick it up.]
[But Tidus starts beaming, his free hand moving to brush her cheek.]
You will? Really? You'll marry me?
Yes! Yes- I will marry you.
[There's a few cheers around them - they're definitely not alone - as they move to kiss. They hold that for more than a few seconds, then break it to just hold each other, both of them obviously more than happy and not caring about any audience. A sharp whistle finally breaks them apart and Tidus, still grinning, reaches for something behind the phone, lifting a bag to his shoulder and knocking the phone even more askew.]
Come on - let's go to Luca.
[And he picks up the phone and ends the transmission. Yes, he did that deliberately.]
