[Phone is caught, and from all outward appearances, you'd never guess that he's pretty much heard every word on this end.

He's not particularly amused now, especially since he suspects something is up.

No matter. The interloper can be easily removed. Even if Garnet is fond of him, she'll recover in time. He'd worked too hard to have it all for naught because of some flippant actor.]
